Flu Immunisation Programme for 2009
Clinics will be made available to patients aged 65 years and older, and those in specified at-risk groups. The Clinics will commence on 28th September and will be available on Monday, Wednesday and Thusday afternoon's. Please contact the Surgery to book an appointment.

Measles Immunisation Programme
An immunisation programme is underway to administer the MMR Vaccine for the second dose for those aged 6-15 years of age
and a first and second dose for those aged 16-18 years of age. The purpose of this programme is to provide protection for individuals at
increased risk of infection during local outbreak of disease such as meningococcal meningitis, mumps and measles. Patients will be contacted
by letter to offer appointments for the vaccine's to be administered.
NHS Bowel Screening Programme
Bowel Screening Wales was launched in October 2008, in a bid to reduce the death rate
from bowel cancer by 15% by the year 2020. The programme is initially being rolled out to all men and
women across Wales aged between 60 and 69 years, who will receive a test kit to use in their own home.
Screening will be extended by 2015 to include all men and women aged between 50 and 74.
